Court Size Guide

🏀

Courta tiles are sold by the square metre. Use this guide to work out your court dimensions, pricing, and how much space you'll need around the court. Basketball and netball courts both covered.

Don't Forget the Buffer Zone

Always allow clearance around the court edge — this prevents players from running into fences, walls, or garden beds, and gives you room to mark boundary lines properly.

COURT SURFACE
← 1m minimum buffer each side →
Recommended buffer zones:
Backyard casual play: 0.5m – 1m each side  · Active/competitive play: 1m – 2m recommended  ·  Near fences or walls: minimum 1m for safety

Tips Before You Order

📏

Measure twice

Use a long tape measure and mark corners with pegs or chalk before you order. Measure at both ends in case the space isn't perfectly square.

🔲

Tiles snap together

Courta tiles interlock without adhesive or tools. You can trim edge tiles with a jigsaw or utility knife to fit irregular spaces.

🌿

Surface matters

Tiles work best on concrete or pavers — a flat, solid base gives the best ball bounce and keeps tiles locked in place.

🏐

Multi-sport layouts

Basketball and netball courts overlap well. A 10m × 15m slab can accommodate both sports with shared goal circles and key markings.

📦

Order extra

We recommend ordering 5–10% extra tiles to allow for edge cuts and to have spares on hand if any tiles are damaged later.
